Mount Gilgal

Planned services

Everyday offerings with a larger purpose.

Commercial services are planned to support a profitable, self-sustaining model—while creating visible, meaningful roles for people with special needs. Mount Gilgal is also seeking a partnership with the Commonwealth of Virginia to help deliver on-site healthcare, therapy, and education services.

  • Wellness, gym, and swimming
  • On-site daycare and on-site adult day care

  • Farm grocery
03

Workspace & skills

  • A 24/7 co-working space
  • An on-site hub and permanent spot for existing disability-employment businesses — such as Bitty & Beau's Coffee — to operate before Mount Gilgal has its own license

  • Carpentry, sewing, and baking taught on-site — see Pillars & Trades

  • Adaptive clothing
  • On-site and online retail

Many of these offerings are envisioned to be run by people with special needs—not positioned at the edge of the economy, but active within it.
