Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to mountgilgal.org (the "Site"), operated by Mount Gilgal Inc. ("Mount Gilgal," "we," "us," or "our"). By using the Site, you agree to the terms described below. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site. We may update this policy from time to time; the date below reflects the version currently in effect. Last updated: September 22, 2026.

Information We Collect

We collect information you choose to give us directly:

  • Mailing list signups — your email address, and your name if you provide it, when you join our mailing list through the Site.
  • Direct contact — if you email us (including through the "Reach out," "Give," or "Invest" links, which open a pre-addressed email to abimbola@mountgilgal.org), we receive whatever you include in that message.

We do not currently use the Site to process payments, and we do not collect financial account information, government ID numbers, or other sensitive personal data through the Site itself.

How We Use Information

We use the information you provide to:

  • Send updates about Mount Gilgal's progress to people who've joined our mailing list
  • Respond to messages sent to us directly
  • Understand interest in giving to or investing in Mount Gilgal, so we can follow up appropriately

We do not use your information for automated decision-making, and we do not sell it.

Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We may share it only with:

  • Service providers who help us run the Site — for example, our database provider (Supabase), which stores mailing list signups on our behalf, and our website host (Lovable). These providers can only use your information to perform services for us.
  • Legal requirements — if required by law, subpoena, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Mount Gilgal or others.

We do not share your information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

Data Retention & Security

We keep mailing list and contact information for as long as it's useful to our mission or until you ask us to delete it, whichever comes first. We use reasonable technical safeguards (including access controls and encrypted storage through our database provider) to protect your information, but no online system is completely secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.

Your Rights & Choices

You can:

  • Unsubscribe from our mailing list at any time (instructions will be included in our emails once we begin sending them)
  • Ask us to access, correct, or delete the information we hold about you by emailing abimbola@mountgilgal.org

If you are a California or Virginia resident, you may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) or the Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act (VCDPA), including the right to know what personal data we hold and to request its deletion. Given the small scale of data we currently collect, we likely fall below the thresholds that make these laws formally apply — but we'll honor these requests as a matter of practice regardless.

Cookies & Tracking Technologies

The Site may use basic, privacy-respecting analytics to understand how visitors use it (for example, page views). We do not currently use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking. If that changes, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent first.

Children's Privacy

The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us at abimbola@mountgilgal.org and we will delete it.

Changes to This Policy & Contact Information

We may update this Privacy Policy as Mount Gilgal grows — for example, if we add online donation processing or investor account features, which would involve additional data. We'll update the date above when we do. If you have questions about this policy, contact us:
